Get healthy with free Bupa Plus Health and Wellbeing Classes

A new partnership between Federation Square and health and care company Bupa will deliver a series of free, weekly health and wellbeing classes for city dwellers, workers, and visitors to the Melbourne hub.

The Bupa Health and Wellbeing Classes at Fed Square include sessions suitable for all ages and skill levels, ranging from vigorous circuit based training workouts, to calming meditation, to toning belly dancing.

With a third of Australians identifying work as a source of stress, and reports suggesting a declining trend of workplace wellbeing, the program provides a fun, simple and effective way for the community to come together and take well-earnt time out to rest and recharge before returning to work or exploring the city feeling ready for action!

Jonathan Tribe, CEO of Federation Square, said that the Bupa partnership will contribute to enhancing the existing, established program of free community events and experiences for Melbournians and visitors.

“Fed Square is excited to be welcoming Bupa as a sponsor for a range of our health and wellbeing classes, which, over the years, have been a much loved part of the ongoing, unique and iconic regular events program that Fed Square provides as a community hub in Melbourne.”

Bupa’s Director of Health Insurance Marketing, Alison Wild, said Bupa was proud to partner with Fed Square as part of their Bupa Plus program.

“Bupa is passionate about helping Australians live longer, healthier and happier lives, and we’re proud to partner with Melbourne’s iconic Federation Square.

“Any passer-by to Fed Square will tell you that the free fitness and wellbeing classes on offer have become ingrained in the Melbourne community, and inclusive for anyone irrespective of age or background.

“It’s fantastic to see and support community initiatives that are advancing a stronger and healthier society. Our partnership with Fed Square is part of our commitment to positively impact the health of Australians.”

Bupa’s partnership with Fed Square is part of their Bupa Plus program which offers a world of benefits to make customers’ lives healthier, more fun and rewarding.

Bupa Plus Health and Wellbeing Classes include Tai Chi, Morning Meditation, Health Qigong, Yoga, Lunchtime Meditation, Feel Young, Fitness at Fed Square, and, in summer, Belly Dancing.
